About Phil:  Phil Sterner has been a Rosemount native since 1985 and a district resident for 40 years.  His wife, Brenda, and five children are proud to call Rosemount and Apple Valley their home.  Sterner graduated from Apple Valley High School and all of his children either graduated or are enrolled at Rosemount High School.  Phil owns the oldest small business insurance firm in Apple Valley Minnesota.  Phil currently serves as a City Council Member in Rosemount Minnesota,  and sits on the Rosemount Port Authority.  Phil has been an active volunteer on local government and school district initiatives.  Phillip Sterner is a proven community leader wanting to work with you to make this community stronger. 

Phil's Issues: Phil's leadership background in community building and significant experience, will allow him to be a honest and effective leader at the Minnesota State Capitol for the residents of Rosemount and Apple Valley.  With your support we will be able to fight to create more jobs for the people of Apple Valley, Rosemount and Minnesota, secure higher pay for Minnesota firefighters, police officers, nurses and teachers, ensure human dignity by securing affordable solutions to the health care crisis in Minnesota, reform Minnesotan education funding, use a multi-pronged approach to solve our transportation problems, create long term economic prosperity statewide, and work toward being cost effective and environmentally friendly.  Most importantly though, this campaign is about us engaging in a new community conversation about what is best for all, not just the few.
